I know one thing I can't drink any coffee or energy drinks my adrenaline goes thru the roof when I see a deer esp a buck.
i have not shot at a running deer, one of the guys i hunt with says that when he leads one, if its runnin fast, as soon as its head gets in the scope, he lets it rip. i have never seen it with my own eyes, however he claims that he has hit them on the run enough to know what works for him. also would depend on how long the shot is. my buddies father in law puts it like skunkape, you dont know unless you let it go. he misses from time to time, but makes some great shots on some nice animals. if you are gonna shoot clay targets, practice shoot the 'rabbits' they are usually alot harder to hit than the ones in the air.
