"How do you shoot women and children?"

"Easy, you just don't lead them as much!"

Gotta agree with it being more exciting shooting at running pigs. I had 10 or so pigs come in once and tried to get a double but they would'nt line up. I decided to take the front 1 right before they went into the bush and soon as I shot the first 1 they took off on a tear. Before I knew it, 2 shots later with the 270 and there was 3 pigs on the ground. To say I was stoked is an understatement. Downside was I had 3 pigs to clean. Good thing for me was my buddy took care of dinner and timed it perfect for when I got done. 3 pigs, steak dinner and a bottle of rum. Good times!!!!!! :tequila

got alot of practice shooting hogs on the run. when i was guiding. when clients would make a bad shot, i would drop them before they got off into the thick stuff. wasn't any fun going after wounded hogs in the thick stuff.

I know it was'nt the smartest shot to take but I was stoked. I am palnning to skeet or trap shoot to get better at it. I hunt a small area and most of them are on the run.i heard dove hunting is good practice and probaly cheaper than skeet. My dad says he has hit more on the run with a shotgun then just shooting them still.

most of us on here , in your shoes probably would have taken the shot also. i have no problems shooting at a running deer. will try to stop them first but, if that is the only shot you have and it is safe to take. why not. thew biggest thing is to follow through. skeet shooting will be good practice.
