Don't forget the 7mm-08. That is gonna be my next rifle purchase
not familiar with them calibers. but what about .243 , 7mm-08 , or the .280 ??
I've shot a Weatherby and Remington bolt action 25-06, and they were very similar to my Remington .243 in kick. One of the members of my dad's club has a lever-action 25-06 that his wife always uses when she goes up to Georgia with him. He has a Model 700 .243 that has a shortened stock, etc. to fit her, but she prefers the 25-06 lever-action. She's killed several deer with it. I don't recall what make the rifle is, though, I've only seen it once.
The flatest shooting and the best IMO is the 270 WSM.
Or if you want to be real easy on her, Get her a 30-30. and use the lever revolution ammo by Hornady
Is a .270 wsm to lite for an elk? I'm gonna buy a new rifle this spring and I want to be able to elk hunt with it if I ever go.I really loved my old .270,never missed with the dang thing.
