I had to walk a newbie through the FWC site over the phone. Arrrgh! Finally got done when it said he needed a WMA stamp. :taz Walked him through that process and got it done. I hadn't realized how much better I've gotten at finding my way through the maze called myfwc.com :wizard
it's about helping and sharing, to a point. just please don't apply unless you actualy plan on going. pissed me off seeing my wma that I got denied sit empty and they don't let in walk ons. 100% no shows 2 years ago.
FWC needs to change things a little to prevent shutouts like that. I hate to say it but I feel the quota needs to be returned with enough time to reissue it. That would prevent the eco terrorists from getting a quota and returning it at the last moment only to be rewarded by two preference points for next year. They should be reissued, and yes I know things happen at the last moment. Last year I turned in Half moon hog because the truck just could not be trusted for the trip. I sent it as soon as I knew, hoping it could be reissued. I also hoped to get my preference point back, and what do you know! it's lost in the mail.
Those very issues are being looked at....
im pretty pissed that fwc put out the hog quota with out having the new brochures out and no know number of permits for each place they need to get there shit together
