Ok, this is what I sent them...

Can you please explain to me why I am being charged $2.31 convenience fee for a "free" quota hunt permit?? Where does that money go??

Also, why is it that I use the phone numbers on the back of my permits to contact FWC and I get a private company in Tennessee? Is that where the "convenience fee" goes, to that company?

I think there are going to be alot of unhappy hunters out there when they find out they are going to have to start paying for "free" quota hunt permits!!!

Thank you

And this is what I got in return....

You are not being charged anything. What you see is an error in the programming that is being worked on. By tomorrow, when you can actually apply for a quota permit, that convenience fee should be gone. Convenience fees are charged by the vendor to recoup cost of printing, postage, credit card fees and staff. The telephone vendor is in Tennessee.

Hmmm...did I get my questions answered???? I guess it still ticks me off that they use a company outside the state for anything!!!
