Has anyone done a raise bed garden and how high of sides did you use?
I have one that is started nicely right now. I used yard timbers 8'x 4", three rows high, two sections long, over all measurement is 4' wide x 16' long x 12" high (I sunk the 1st row below grade). I nailed some vertical 2 x 4 and hung some chicken wire to keep the dogs out. Over the years I have continued to add black cow manure and miracle grow garden soil along with wood ash from the smoker (before planting) and spent coffee grounds (during growing season), I believe it has really helped the plants grow quickly.
Looking good. :toast
Here is an update +/- two weeks later, the rain has really helped. I started all of these from seed on 1/18 and put them in the ground 2/20.
Wow, Looking really good. I'm hitting mine with some good fertilizer in the AM.
