Finally got a bug up my arse to build a raised bed. I'm kinda late doing this, but doing veggies in containers just wasn't working out too well. Ive mastered doing my pepper plants in containers, just not veggies. Will plant seeds in a few days after the soil gets a chance to balance out
12 landscape timbers
20 bags of Lowe's $.88 top soil
(3) 55 gal barrels of homemade compost
(3) 25gal planters full of potting mix FULL of earth worms
about 5 trailer loads of half rotten oak leaves/lawn clippings/hedge trimmings
bag of lime
fertilizer
bone meal
epsom salt
Mixed everything together, and got it hand-tilled pretty well and finally got it leveled and compacted pretty good. Ive got 2 tree limbs to cut and will have nice filtered sunshine all day. Not too much, not too little
