So you have started your seed's for your spring crop? Do you buy your seeds or do you save seeds from peppers that you have raised?
Gary, you can make "earth style boxes" out of 2 5-gal buckets and a piece of pvc. Those real earth boxes are expensive as heck. There are plans all over the internets to do it
Tim, I order the specialty seeds. Like the White habanero and ghost pepper, etc are impossible to find locally.
The others like Jalapeno/habanero, and other veggies I just buy at Lowes, etc. They are cheap. You can bypass this whole seed starting process and buy small plants in early spring. But I enjoy the seed growing process and I think its cheaper in the long run.One pepper plant is like $3. You can buy a pack of seeds for $1. Wal Mart has a rack of seeds that are 20 cents each pack. I can start a bunch of them just as easily as a few. And last year I sold off a few to recoup some of my expense
I'm in the process of dying some pepper seeds. It's been about 3 weeks so I'm going to start them this weekend along with some tomato and eggplant. Were did you get your ghost seeds from? And have you been brave enough to try one yet?
