It's a good time of the year when the garden starts to produce. Got a late start this season and have had to begin watering last week. The yellow straight neck squash is all that is producing now but the late planted green beans(Roma Flat Bush) will be ready in a day or two. Sweet corn and okra has a ways to go yet. Peppers and tomatoes are in raised beds that are filled with mushroom compost. Zipper Cream peas are also coming along, there are 14 rows planted next to this part of the garden. Treefarmer
Any ideas on what can be planted now that will grow and produce in this heat until the fall planting? Pretty all my stuff is dead. Only the cukes are producing. It is filtered sunlight in my garden
Okra and any of the southern peas (blakeye, purplehull, zippers, etc...) should still work up until time for fall gardens. Treefarmer
I just planted okra and snap beans, they are growing quick.
