The only thing I do not like about the anchors that shoot straight down into the water, like the micro or minkota, is that when you start dealing with wake or rolling waves, it doesn't seem like there is enough shock absorption. The weight of your boat may not matter but I took a minkota off of mine, it coundn't handle +4,000 lbs bouncing up and down.

My bad...Minn Kota Talon....it's all electric, no hydraulics, not a bad idea but IMO, not made for saltwater
