Don't know what to tell you on that one buddy. I don't know if it's poaching, over hunting,or what.I mailed a check off to a new club a few weeks ago and they still haven't cashed it.There were quite a few in there last year but not as many as the year before. Hogs travel a lot, right now they're prolly by some water. Also there's not as many still hunters feeding them anymore. Two or three years ago they were so thick in there you wouldn't believe it. I honestly believe they overloaded it with hog doggers the last two years and it's taking it's toll. I need to go pull my 3 feeders out of there pretty soon.
Ok this comes to an end right now. I didn't have to even read past page 2 before I came to this post.
1 dog hunting is a form of hunting and a sport. That's the bottom line. I'm a still hunter but dog once in a blue moon when friends ask me to come along so I know a bit bout it.
Everyone has their own opinion but on this website we support all forms of legal hunting bottom line. Running dogs has been around for a long time "that's the way we do things down here in the south". That's quoted from a song btw.
Next a dog does not know if an animal is pregnant or not. They are trained to bay up what they are trained to bay bottom line. Pregnant, 3 legged, bore, sow they all smell the same to the dogs.
Dog hunting is not easy to say the least. It is a skill. I was fortunate enough to be taken by skunkape on a weekend doghunt and it was one of the most exciting, energetic and tiring wekends I ever had hunting. For those of you who think its too easy pm skunk ape and YOU go up to the angry bore flip it and stick it. Until you do this you cannot judge. I have so I am speaking from experience.
Another thing I'm not going to pick names but seriously for those of you that are not as fortunate to have many hogs piled up a year I can guarantee you see a pregnant sow it will be laced with buckshot. So let's end that right there.
This ends right here and now. Dog hunting is a way of life for some here and running members off by bashing on the sport that is their life is like them saying were lazy just to sit in a stand and shoot. Remember the door turns both ways. I'm going to go ahead and clean this thread up tomorrow. In not censoring but respecting our fellow dog hunters bottom line.
Remember hogs are a non native invasice species to florida. You think fws let's you hunt them all year long because they like us and want to break bread with us? Sadly mistaken. They are wanted gone and all removed. So we capitalize on it and get to hunt all year long. Trust me fwc hates it because a man in the woods with a gun on the off season is more likely to poach a deer out of season very easily.

Totally agree.
Thank you.
ya i been up at the club this past weekend, i had 2 feeders i set up 2 weeks prior and tossed out 100lbs or corn at each, all i have pics of are a few doe and turkeys, but got a great corn patch growin at each location, pretty disappointed so far with the hog population, only been able to catch 2 in my 4 trips up there, any idea if you can get a refund before the season starts? i hate whining but its to expensive these days to not be able to harvest the animals your lookin for
Good luck on getting your $$$ back. I've heard a lot of leases and clubs are having a hard time making the full money to the landowners. If that's the case with RG and it comes down to being really close you may be S.O.L. Did they give you a list of rules or a contract you signed? If so, see what it says in there. Also, since you've already caught a couple of hogs out of there, they can say you've been utilizing the property, therefore - no refund.
