Hey;
Is that invitation open to everyone?
I'll be the first to admit that I've never understood the appeal of dog hunting, but maybe hunting with an ethical sportsman who's open minded enough to answer questions and hear comments without taking offense would (if not change my mind) at least help me see things from a "dogger" point of view...

Thanks for posting your pics.
I love stalk hunting hog, and had the opportunity to experience hog dogging last year. My first hog dogging was with a friend that uses 2 bay dogs and brings the catch dog with him. No pile of dogs, the dogs manage the hog by baying it while we get through the brush of Florida to get to them. It was a great hunt, different than most of the videos you see. If I had land or money for a lease that allowed it, I've thought of it. I would go again given the opportunity.
no dogpiles
Ok this comes to an end right now. I didn't have to even read past page 2 before I came to this post.
1 dog hunting is a form of hunting and a sport. That's the bottom line. I'm a still hunter but dog once in a blue moon when friends ask me to come along so I know a bit bout it.
Everyone has their own opinion but on this website we support all forms of legal hunting bottom line. Running dogs has been around for a long time "that's the way we do things down here in the south". That's quoted from a song btw.
Next a dog does not know if an animal is pregnant or not. They are trained to bay up what they are trained to bay bottom line. Pregnant, 3 legged, bore, sow they all smell the same to the dogs.
Dog hunting is not easy to say the least. It is a skill. I was fortunate enough to be taken by skunkape on a weekend doghunt and it was one of the most exciting, energetic and tiring wekends I ever had hunting. For those of you who think its too easy pm skunk ape and YOU go up to the angry bore flip it and stick it. Until you do this you cannot judge. I have so I am speaking from experience.
Another thing I'm not going to pick names but seriously for those of you that are not as fortunate to have many hogs piled up a year I can guarantee you see a pregnant sow it will be laced with buckshot. So let's end that right there.
This ends right here and now. Dog hunting is a way of life for some here and running members off by bashing on the sport that is their life is like them saying were lazy just to sit in a stand and shoot. Remember the door turns both ways. I'm going to go ahead and clean this thread up tomorrow. In not censoring but respecting our fellow dog hunters bottom line.
Remember hogs are a non native invasice species to florida. You think fws let's you hunt them all year long because they like us and want to break bread with us? Sadly mistaken. They are wanted gone and all removed. So we capitalize on it and get to hunt all year long. Trust me fwc hates it because a man in the woods with a gun on the off season is more likely to poach a deer out of season very easily.
