I've been hunting around dogs for 30 years and never seen a hunting dog on the ground attack a human. One time I did see a walker dog bite it's owner pretty badly when it's foot got hung up in the tailgate. It actually broke it's foot. The dude whacked that dog immediatly after getting his wrist out of it's mouth. He said that dog had some issues .
My pit got out last year and was running down the road. Due to a moron neighbor who tied his female in heat to a tree. My male pit doesn't have a mean bone in his body, due to me spending the time to socialize him. Well he got about 7-8 houses away with me right on his tail. A guy came out of his garage with a shovel over his head and was about to smack my dog over the head with it :scared: Because he was a pit. I was yelling, Don't him him!!!!! He ran up to the guy and started licking him. Point is not all pits are bad dogs. Most are very friendly but you don't ever hear about that, just the ones that the idiots own who don't take the time to raise them properly. Generally you can tell when a dog is aggressive. I've never been around a vicious hunting dog.
Lacy that seperates you from thousands of idiots that own sorry animals.People are to stupid to realize their dog is no good and won't do nothing about it till somebody gets hurt. I wonder how your dog would have acted around small children under 2 years old? So many kids get mauled by dogs that should have never made it to 6 months old.
I don't even want to get started about people who let their yard dogs run and think they do no wrong, cats to.
Lacy do you like cattle dogs? They are great yard dogs, very loyal and protective.
