i think my question is more like.. what do you do when crazy dogs are running towards you.. do you shoot them or wait to see if they bite you before you make such a big decision? I know a beagle will just come up to you and want to get patted on the head and so on.. but ive heard some horror stories about loose and crazy hunting dogs.
The point I was trying to make is...you have no idea what to do....a green eyed pit is a hand full....and you have no idea how the idots raised them....that being said.....if some "pits" are running at me....I'm gonna to rock them to sleep with a 12 gauge slug and deal with the fall out after.
I had a friend who ran bulldogs,not really pitts but more of the American Bulldog type or cur crosses. He just slipped around the woods with them by himself with his two dogs. They would stick close to him unless they winded a hog and then they would catch it.One time he was coming out of the woods on a skidder tram and his dogs ran for the road,when they hit the road some retard shot them both. Unfortunatly for the shooter my friend was a recon marine in vietnam. He took the guys gun and smashed it to pieces against a tree then almost beat the life out of the dog shooter.For no reason this clown shot his dogs except that he was a city boy wanting to kill something,and it almost costed him his life.
