Went hunting friday with some friends and some kids, which always proves to be refreshing. My grandbaby is four and the only girl and their was a 6 year boy that was riding with us and the other truck had another 4 year old boy. We were turned some dogs out on sign and they went to baying about 20 feet from the road. I put the kids on top of the dog box and followed our out friend into the woods with camera ready. When I was looking thru the palmetto bushes I saw Auburn, our friend, give me that move now look and here comes the boar. So I am back stepping to the road and he is telling them to turn out some more dogs to help catch. And it was really great to see all this take place right off the road, except I had my daughters camera since I forgot mine, so no video or real good pictures but anyway. This hog was backing the dogs up and cut 2 pretty good and when help arrived they caught. All this took place in about 2 minutes. Since it was a boar we cut him and turn him loose, I have always told my grandbaby that we operate on them to cut their two mores out, so he is now 2 less :eek and we can catch him later and eat him. That explanation always worked until the boys were watching and telling her that they were cutting his balls out and that wasn't right. Need less to say, I hope when she goes to preschool on Monday they don't ask her about her weekend. lol
