The T style releases are supposed to be more difficult to shoot. I thought about getting a new release a while back, but the one I wanted was way too much money.
That style release is hard to shoot. I tried it one time, and it just didn't seem natural. sorta like trying to pull the trigger on a gun with your thumb
Even the T style of release I am unable to use! The trouble is when I grip the release or the strap of the release puts tension on my wrist that locks my finger or thumb from any movement at all. With my hand relaxed I do not have controlled movement with my thumb at all so even a thumb release is out.Hellbilly sent me a site with a release aide that would be legal for crossbow season only.
that sounds like a legitamite disability to me, should be able to get some sorta special allowances to use whatever devices needed. I'm sure you've seen a GOOD hand specialist? I had a " trigger finger release " surgery on my left thumb, where they either cut and re-attatch or re-route the ligament to free up movement, luckily I'm right handed. try searching the web for medical adaptive devices, or occupational therapy. good luck
Seems like the tension release should work for you.
