I've decided to get a target to practice with at home, and could use some recommendations. I'll be shooting mostly FP until I get comfortable, but would like something I can shoot BH at without ruining the BH or the target, if possible.

I've been reluctant about practicing in my backyard, but my neighbors have no problem lighting off fireworks all weekend, even when there ain't a holiday, or driving 4-wheelers up and down the street, letting their dogs :sheet in my yard, etc. so they better not bother me about slinging a few sticks!

If you're not gonna use it all the time, just for occasional practice, you could go to the expense of the Block, but I got on of the McKenzie 6 Shooters for like $65 at BPS, and it's held up for 2 years now, and that's with 4 archers shooting 40-50 shots a day. It is showing some wear now on the field point sides, and it doesn't stop the arrows as quickly, but I've had no fletch damage yet.

Do not buy the yellow/orange "buckmaster" target from walmart!!! It is a layered target but it is very hard to pull your arrows out. Most of the time when you pull them out it, the arrow has some type of glue residue on it.
