im just thinking that a 3 yard diference will just place hour shot an inch higher if you didnt arc it. thats if your hand is steady. if there are people shooting 6 inch groups or bigger at 25 yards it might mean the difference from a hit of miss while shooting at an animal.. But most people should be shooting like a 2-3 inch maximum group at 25 yards.
well, hopefully you will be able to test your theory in person--- 16 more days.
i mean is a 3 yard mis caculation really going to make a difference.. lol
take in the kill zone of a deer, now add in different variables--- high wind -- position animal is in - quarter away- broadside- quarter towards. And then try to account for the deer "jumping the string" . a few inches could mean the difference in a clean kill and a long day tracking. 1 0r 2 yards probably won't matter. me i have my pins set at 5 yards increments 20-25-30-35-40. set it up that way shooting 3-ds, never changed it. pins are close together, but there is a difference in shooting the wrong pin. because i guessed yardage wrong. Alot of treestand hunters use them pendulem sights. takes in to account the hieghth.
i gotta get a rangefinder to begin with.
