Without a rangefinder that has a built in compensator (angle) How do yall judge a 20 yd shot. Ill be in a 12 ft. treestand and would imagine that my 20 yd pin ( set on flat ground ) will shoot high. Any suggestion? I don't really have the means to go set up a stand untill it's hunting season.

In a 12' stand and a 20yd shot, the compensation is minimal. You may shoot high, but very very minimal.
I have a range finder with the angle compensator and that setup I would hold dead on.

Now for me it matters because I hunt out of a climber and get up like 30-35' high, so I aim low

if you know the heighth you are at. measure the distance from the base of the tree on the ground and do the geometry, you can figure out the actual yardage. I practice shooting from my roof into the backyard. It helps with judging distance when elevated. I do have a range finder with ARC in it, but seldom am able to range things. either forget or am seeing deer .
