go to tradgang.com to the classifed bows you can get used bows at about half the price rer, black creek, shrew, black widow. I shoot a black creek banchee longbow. longbows are a little slower then a recurve the bow is beaufiul fiddleback maple limbs cocobolo riser I would post a pic but cant get it to load. it weighs less then a pound. most of the bows listed on there are made by full time makers. Imo a forward riser bow is the easiest and most forgiving to shoot.

My stand bows are from 52" to 56" and have draw lengths up to 29 inch with 45 to 55 lb draw weight.If you will only shoot standing up a longer bow will not be bad but I did prefer a bow that I could shoot either sitting or standing so the shorter bow worked well for me.
