Just wanted to get your opinions on the Browning Lightning bow. I am just starting to bow hunt and my buddy has one for sale that is ready to hunt.

What do you guys think about the bow? Is it a good one to start off with? What is a good price to pay for one with everything included (sites, quiver, arrows, etc.)?

Thanks for your help.

Make sure that you get the bow to fit you and shoot it to see how it feels. Looks like they are couple bills used. Bows loose there value faster than a used car going off the lot. I shoot a PSE X FORCE and I have been shooting for over forty years. You need to go to a archery shop and try a few to see witch one feels rite. Some times your buddys bow mite not be the one for you. Archery is very satisfying sport, you have to get close and my hand still shakes after all these years. My first buck was a cow horn four point and I had it mounted and that deer still means more to me than all the rest that i have taken with guns. When you do get your self a bow just practice, practice and more practise. Good luck

Do yourself a favor. Take the bow and go to an archery shop. Let them measure your proper draw length and set the bows draw length accordingly

If you start off with an incorrect draw length you will develop poor form, and its hard to overcome once you learn it wrong.
