It will go through Just like In-line with Primitive weapon Season
They want it in ,it will be in
But there is a Cross Bow season All ready
So Opinion is NO I don't think they should let cross in on Reg Bow
you see I have to say Regular Bow
cause you can no Longer say Traditional
Like Fat and Skinny Kids
Its all Lib Shat
They are Regular Kids and you have to include the Slugs and snails with the
Road runners and Black racers
NEW law = usually Bad Law
WE have enough Laws and LiB junk already time to put the brakes on
Archery is archery bow hunters are bow hunters!
I will be buying one if it passes. My dad has one now for the 5-day season and it's awesome to shoot. You can put 3 bolts in a bullseye no larger than the diameter of a silver dollar at 30 yds. I won't even try one that far anymore as I don't feel comfortable taking shots over 20 yds. I have seriously bowhunted for 5 years and taken a good number of bucks with my bow. With the benefit of using a scope and the ability to steady a crossbow, why not take advantage of that if it's legal? I'd keep my old bow just in case...
I urge all of you to read the article in the march issue of Woods N Water that I wrote on the subject. It dispells some of the myths of crossbows and shows some hard numbers as to harvest and mortality rates on deer in FL.
That said, if you want to know the real push behind crossbows, it's not so much revenue as it is youth opportunity. FWC is on an all-out push to get kids in the woods and retain older hunters as well. There are some very influential people in this state that feel strongly about getting more kids out there and think crossbows will facilitate that much easier.
Personally, whether it passes or not, I will still hunt with my bow. It's more accurate, faster shooting, easier to handle, less cumbersome and quieter. But if it does pass, I will be buying one for my 9 year old daughter so she can start hunting with dad during archery season. Why should I have to wait for gun season to take her when she could be shooting a doe or two during archery with me or her grandpa?
The proposal I have submitted is to allow all kids under 13 and adults over 60 to use them, regardless of physical disability. Some folks just don't have the time to practice or the strength to pull back a bow, but they could be out there hunting archery season with the use of a crossbow and get introduced earlier or continue to hunt later in years by allowing them.
If you don't have Woods N Water or are too cheap to go buy a copy (just kidding) send me an email at huntmstr@tampabay.rr.com and I will forward a copy of the article to you.

So will you and 25,000 others. It's a money grab for the state, the woods are already to crowded and to many areas are to strict on hunting as it is. Open up more land and less quotas.
