I will be buying one if it passes. My dad has one now for the 5-day season and it's awesome to shoot. You can put 3 bolts in a bullseye no larger than the diameter of a silver dollar at 30 yds. I won't even try one that far anymore as I don't feel comfortable taking shots over 20 yds. I have seriously bowhunted for 5 years and taken a good number of bucks with my bow. With the benefit of using a scope and the ability to steady a crossbow, why not take advantage of that if it's legal? I'd keep my old bow just in case...
So will you and 25,000 others. It's a money grab for the state, the woods are already to crowded and to many areas are to strict on hunting as it is. Open up more land and less quotas.
I strictly hunt private lands/leases, so I could care less about overcrowding of WMAs and more hunters in the woods earlier. There's plenty of WMAs around my area that have a decent deer population and aren't overcrowded but then again I'm in the panhandle. If you want a list of good areas in them PM me, I've killed deer and hogs in several of them years ago. I'm still holding out for the new crossbow :clap
those ones too this year i had 2 like that one sittin on top of a big red suburban on a swivel chair and 1 guy who TRIED to jump my $h!t because i drove down an open road and parked in the designated parking spot to hunt/scout an area i found on google earth because he had a stand set up 30 yards from the parking spot he tried telling me that was why he had parked so far down the road as to not spook the deer I told him he shoulda parked closer so he could get in the woods further and to leave me the h@ll alone
