My dad got this permit the year they became available, and hunted with an xbow the entirety of his life after that
He had his spleen removed and it left him very weak in his torso after that, and a nasty surgical hernia

yeah I was thinking of the whole disabled/free license, drive on normaly restricted trails thing. I've never shot a x-bow but have my mathews tweaked just the way I like and it works good for me, it may be a little old but still works fine.

I haven't even setup my newer bow I got this year (Guardian) although the season isn't far away. I am running behind on setting up cameras also but I'm starting that this weekend.

As stated before, those xbow permits are easy to obtain. All it takes is a doctor's signature on the paperwork and that's it. My dad is too proud to go and get the doctor to sign the paperwork. He has an xbow and does not use it at all because of his stubborn pride.

The countdown is at 25 days and I only have 2 stands in the woods and haven't even shot my bow yet. I should be fine as long as I shoot it the last week before bow season though. I'm more worried about getting my three other stands in the woods in decent spots.

I hear ya. I had a couple tuning issues with my bow and x-bow, but I believe I have them resolved now and shooting good

I have about 10 spots picked out and marked on the WMA I am hunting. I need to go into them Labor day weekend and brite eye them. Did some minor limb trimming a few weeks ago

I got 2 stands up and 2 feeders up on my lease. I am not gonna put any more than that up.
Here is my 2 man I put up by myself and almost pulled a hernia. I put a burlap wrap on it the next day

I am finding a few spots here and there I am gonna attack with climbers. I saw a monster the other day in a section of the lease I had not been in yet. A thunderstorm ran me out from scouting any further than I got. Its a little narrow creek loaded with live oaks, grapes, persimmons, maypops, and loaded with deer sign. This ole boy was at least 17" wide, and was out of velvet and out of summer coat already

I found this dude's stand about 400 yards in from where I saw the deer. Its got a redneck roof kit on it that has fell down. I am gonna be interested to see if anyone comes into this spot. It almost looks abandoned
