Don't know how much actual hunting I'll be doing this weekend, but the following should be very interesting.Hopefully I'll at least get a few good tales to tell.
you are guaranteed to have some stories. make sure you tell all of us. lol
Don't you worry there little buddy, yer gonna get an earful.
If you pass by through Ebro on 20 could you see if there is a for rent sign on the old Marlows bait shop there please. If so cool if you dont have time thats cool last time I was there I could not find anyone to talk to and did not see a number to call.
A buddy of mine wants to do one and he said he will finance it if I run it.I still have my milk tanks I used for live bait so it is possible.
Well, no luck at all as far as baggin any game. I did find an awesome primitive weaps hunting area though. And, when I get the time, I'm gonna download the pic of the monster rub. I'm talkin HUGE, never seen one like it EVER! Was a cypress tree about 6" diameter, and the bark was rubbed clean off with huge gouges from about a foot off the ground to about 7' (yes that's feet). I woulda thought it was a bear or somethin if not for the tracks and all the sign around it. I missed the rut tho, so 2 days of hard sittin downwind in a brushpile and no deer. Had lots of possums come up w/in a foot of me on the ground and birds land in the bushes all around me. If I had known, Ida brought a canoe with me, cus its on a creek and the other side looked even better. Course the creek was flooded about 3' above normal, so there was no wading across. 6 doe and a not legal spike came by my first stand just out of range on Friday, but nothin Saturday or Sunday at the monster rub. Did see a 4 point and a VERY small basket rack 6pt on the other side of the swamp but no chance at a shot with the Bowmadness at 60 yards thru the trees.
Well, that's it for this year. Now to jump into the honey-do list and start the stand repair and gettin everything ready for next year.
