Yesterday was pretty good. I saw 15+ deer and the usual hens. A 3pt, 4pt, spike, and a lot of does and yearlings. Killed this 5pt in velvet around 7:15. I've never killed a velvet buck or one on opening day. This also was my first buck with the bowtech.

Thats pretty sweet man. This goes to show how weird the Fla deer are. I saw a thread on another site, some guys I know hunting not far from you, back behind Rocky's store. He and his buddy had good bucks hard horned and running does like the rut is in full swing

I had a buddy missed a swole-neck 6pt running a doe in the eastern part of the county close to my house. I was around 15 miles from Rockys, the next road passed the hickory mound entrance and 1 block from the highway. Im about 250 yards from the lower econfina WMA eastern boundary.
