I want to have sympathy....but i am a non procrastinator.

My buddy sold his xbow because he needed money. He buys a new one on Wednesday. He does not shoot it, he decides to wait till he gets here to shoot it and zero it in..

Guess what....

Xbow was faulty. The entire safety mechanism fell off in pieces in my carport here at camp. he is now on route back to Tampa to get a replacement. Never fired one arrow. $649 for a new xbow and $100 in gas to get it swapped out(assuming he gets there before they close). Don't wait till the 11th hour to check your equipment

Just put some Blazer Fletch Wraps on my arrows, going out tomorrow morning to get them sighted in. I am still a week out from hitting the woods so I have some time if something goes wrong. Has anyone used the blazer wraps from Bohning??

don't forget to give your gear a quick once over when you get settled in the stand or blind. I had a tiny leaf stuck to one of my bows sight pin and couldn't figure out why every thing was blurry, missed 3 shots at a nice short stocky 8 point buck, they were going all around him. he finaly spooked when he spotted me taking off my facemask. I thought the mask was blocking my vision. a quick once over would have prevented it,another lesson learned the hard way.

I'm almost falling into this. My first hunt starts Thursday and my arrows are flying all over. I've taken Wednesday off to hopefully rectify the situation!
