Do you have a ground blind? If you hunt in one you should probably try practicing from one.I'm so glad to see another child getting into hunting, good luck it really is a blessing to bring your kids hunting and fishing. When you see them take their first buck words can't explain the emotion and pride.

Yes we do have one. Already know a couple of spots to set up, but still trying to figure out what to do. We'll see.

A lot of parents complain about the headache of raising kids this days; however, they don't take the time to show their kids that there is more than technology, video games, etc. Although my oldest son and my daughter don't hunt, they do enjoy camping and being outdoors. They've learn a lot and I feel proud to say that even though they are modern age kids, they go out and party, do the usual kids stuff, their values and moral standards are very high and never had any problems with them.

We haven't kill a deer yet, but I'm sure that when we do it will be a blast for both of us (we got a hog from the green swamp and a bunch of squirrels this season).

the blind will be good to mask his movement on his draw, that will be really helpful. lolo, i wouldn't worry about the crossbow issue, if its legal, its legal and it gets him out there and confident. tell everyone else to pack sand. at least he is getting it, that is awesome. great to see. when i shoot in my back yard, my son brings his bow out and shoots with me, its great fun.
