try them both and see what shoots best. loose powder isn't hard to work with in a pre measured speed loader tube.
I have a ML barrel for my Mossberg 500, and the factory says dont use over 80 grains, so I am stuck with powder until they make pellets in smaller than 50 grains.
Needless to say I also like to be able to tweak the load back if the wife wants to shoot it, or up to 80 if Im huntin big-game. At 75 Gr with a powerbelt I am getting 2" groups @ 100yds so I am happy.
I have some air-tight vials w/screw cap, that I pre-load up with powder and mark them with a marker so I can quickly grab whatever I want. Unscrew cap, pour into barrel drop in projectile, insert 209 Primer and im ready to shoot.
I believe someone makes a 30gr pellet, might have to order it by mail. pyrodex I think.
I own 30 grain and bought them over the counter.
