although there is nothing like good quality wood, for practicality my choice goes to wood laminate. it has wt to absorb recoil, is strong/sturdy, weather resistant as synthetic and looks almost as good as quality real wood and better than poor quality real wood. I hate those cheap hollow synthetic plastic, they may be light but thats about it. some of the better ones if solid layed up fiberglass or kevlar are not bad. nice gun, if that's your back up what's the primary?
Spent a few hours shooting it today. Once again I couldn't get it to shoot worth a shite using TC shockwaves (my traditions loves them)A guy I know happened to know from hunting showed up to shoot his ML while I was there. He was shooting powerbelts and said i could try some of his, well they shoot like a dream!!! Both 243 and 245 grain both were shooting 1" groups at 50 and 100 yards using 120 grains of powder. It's game on now.
Very Nice
