AWESOME i love my cva. was at the range this week and shot 1" groups with the scope i just put on. i have found that i need a little routine to shoot it, cleaning between every shot, and using hodgdon777 pellets and 295 gr powerbelt hollow points. I am looking forward to wma ml hunting.

I've never shot the Triple 7 pellets. I use the Pyrodex 50gr pellets and I've never had to clean between shots. When I get to my camp I shoot once or twice to site it in after boresighting my scope and then take it to the stand. Never had an issue. I usually clean it when I get home. Cleaning after every shot is a lot of work!
taking mine back with me and gonna sight it in.. but would like to bore sight it in to at least be on the paper so i dont waste shots.

I have a little bore siight from Cabela's that I bought years ago for cheap about $20 if I remember right. It's magnetic and will stick onto the front of any barrell. I just went to Cabelas.com and they don't sell them anymore. Anyhow, mine works great on all my guns and get's it right, before pulling the trigger. A good bore sight is not only a time saver but a money saver.
That scope seems awful high. If you are having to raise your face up to see thru it naturally, you may want to take the back iron sight off and go with lower mounts
