Hey Pal, Well check around for prices not all Wally worlds have these supplies... first off i use American pioneer powder either sticks or measured powder,I can shoot 7 rounds with out having to swab the barrel, this powder is very clean, and it works well for me for 3 years of use.. also i use hornady 240 sabots bullets they are less expensive then Thompson center and in combination with 100 grains of the american pioneer powder , i am getting less then 1 inch groups at 100 yards,

I was in a hurry when I replied this morning. Wal Mart does carry the supplies, but it is seasonal. The one up here in Land o Lakes has everything, but not until about August or so. If you are in ahurry to get stuff, you will probably have to order it, or spend the big$$$ at Dick's.

Here is a basic list of what you'll need

(If I am forgetting something, chime in)

**Powder
**Bullets
**Shotgun(209) primers

-50 cal patches (dry)
-50 cal cleaning patches, or powder solvent. You can get them in a jar already pre-moistened with powder solvent-I prefer these
-50 cal brass brush (a couple of them, you'll wear them out getting plastic fouling out)
-Gun scrubber aerosol (Wal Mart auto parts section-get the NON CHLORINATED brake cleaner, its same thing @ 1/3 the price). Great for blasting crud out of breech plug
-Breech plug grease (keeps the breach plug from seizing due to heat)
-Quick loaders
-Capping/decapping tool-used to insert/take out primer (you may or may not need it. I do not need it with my Wolf, because the primer does not fit tightly. My other Ml, it is a must have. They are cheap anyway.

*optional* an extra ram rod set up for cleaning. It is kinda handy to have because you don't have to keep taking on and off cleaning jags

**Everyone has their favorite powder and bullets for ML's just like rifles. I have shot the 777 pellets for a long time, since they came out with great results.right now with 2 ML's, I shoot 250gr Shockwave's in the super glide sabots, with 100gr 777 and can shoot sub 1" groups with both guns.

If you want to go to the range sometime this summer, I will be happy to show you the ropes. Its not that difficult. ML season is my absolute favorite time of the year

Thanks to all for your reply/comments. Very informative and to the point.

Iluv2hunt: I have most of the things I need for cleaning the gun, bullet starter with adapters, speed loaders, and even some bullets, although I ended up ordering some stuff from BPS and Cabelas, as I didn’t find them around the area. My main thing is that I don’t find the 209 primers and pyrodex (prefer not to mess with BP at this time) and if I order a box of each they charge up to $25.00 for hazardous material shipping. I called a couple of stores around the area, including Dick’s, but they don’t have them. I’ll see if I can find them in Lakeland this weekend, if not, I’ll drive to BPS in Orlando. I guess Walmart only carries stuff during season. Now I know for the future.

More than happy to meet and go to the range. I’ll let you know as soon as I’m ready.

Bill Jacksons in Pinellas Park has everything you need. It is more expensive then Walmart, but they have people there that can give you expert advise......
