Mine stays loaded till the end of the season. When I come out I'll remove the primer. I also use the cots if it looks like it might rain.

If I'm hunting every day I will leave it loaded,when I'm done for the season I unload. I do take the primer out every day though.

Same here. I don't use any fancy gun condoms or anything if it rains. The 209 primer hasn't let me down yet and I've been through several rains in the stand.

I know i probably shouldn't but i have left mine loaded during the early season ML hunt threw to the late seaon hunt and it shot fine. I think as long as you don't let it get drenched and are shooting 409 primers you'll be fine.

One year I hunted a 3 day quota in the rain. I mean miserable. Fri and Sat it rained all day. One of those where its about 40deg, and drizzling all day. Cold, wet, and miserable. Then Sunday it was such a heavy fog and dew you could call it rain. I literally poured water out of the breach several times. Shot it on Sunday leaving the woods and it was like firing a 270. never missed a beat
