Sounds like you are talking about the old school side lock m/l's. In-line M/L's have a screw in breech plug that holds a 209 shotgun primer. The breech plug IS your ignition system

ill be in the tree stand this weekend.. sighted in the ml with pandamx and its looking like its sighted in.. Not perfect but its hitting center.. just not dead center.. lol.

Finally got around to going thru my m/l crap today. Glad I did. I am missing an entire bag of all my attachments and cleaning jigs. Off to Wal Mart, $25 later I am back in business. Ill probably find the missing stuff later. rather have 2 than not have anything

Always mark your ramrod with a piece of tape...where it should be with a load in the barrel. It is very easy to not seat a bullet in the heat of excitement, or as you did, get distracted.

And throw those Power Belts in the garbage can :tung
