It seems like most people are using scopes on there muzzleloaders. Is anyone using the fiber optics/barrel sights that come on the gun? Not sure if I should get a scope or not. Most of the places I am gonna be hunting will probably be 50yd shots or less. Every now and then a little further. People that do use scopes, what are you sighting them in at?

Whether you put a scope on or not is up to your preferences. I have a scope mounted on both of mine. Both sighted in 1" high at 50 yards, near dead on at 100. My farthest shot ever on a m/l has been 70 yards. Most of them are 10-40 yards

I have fiber optic on mine and have shot well at the range at 100 yds. The farthest I have shot at game has been 65 yds with no problem. I have been tempted to put a scope on it but haven't had an issue with my sites.

On my inline I'm using a Cabelas Muzzle Loader scope. I normally sight it in at about 50yds. I use a bore site initially and then take it out and shoot it. It's always good. For my side locks I shoot open sites. They both have the iron and brass sights. I shot open sites on Saturday at 25yds and was a half inch off of bulls eye. Good enough for me :>)

My wolf I sighted in around 1" high at 60 yds and my t/c with the bdc reticle scope is dead on at 100yds.
