I've heard of peroxide and amonia for copper, but when using peroxide you gotta be real carefull not to leave it on too long, 5-10 minutes, or it can etch a bbl. not sure of the finish. but I gues the water from the shower dilutes it enough. that may lend some truth to the saying that guns are a psychological extension of a mans junk.
I really like this stuff...

It works real good.
Or plain old hot soapy water and some elbow grease works well too.

and the best support
So last year I tried using bore butter at the end of the season. So help me God, I will NEVER use that stuff again. Ever.
Figured i would go ahead and do my pre-season cleaning today since I had time. What a mess that stuff is. It was more difficult to clean out than a dirty gun from just shooting it
I just threw the tube in the garbage can. Done
Really? So just use gun oil to lube it up on the off season? And if i have bore butter there now clean it really good before sighting in?
