Ok on a clean bore and breech plug, there are a couple of things to think about ,,black powder is very dirty and corrosive, and needs to be cleaned alot, if you use Black Mag, with Pyrodex and Triple 7 being by far the most popular however Black Mag is the cleanest. I use Jim Schockey American Pioneer Gold pellets, i clean my bore after 7 or 8 rounds and the breech plug after 2 or 3 times at the range,, also about a clean breech plug the 209 primer , if you use 100 grns of powder the regular 209 primer is good if you use 150 grns of powder then i would use 209m which are the magnum primers,, I have a T/C Encore Pro Hunter 50 cal 209, 1 use 100 grns of the forementioned powder and reg 209 primer and a 240 grn bullet with sabot and keep a 1 in pattern at 100 yrds, my buddy just bought a T/C Encore 209/50 and swears by a white pellet says it is even cleaner i haven't tried it yet..
