I've only owned a knight disc bp rifle with 209 primers 50 cal, and switched to a "hottter" breech plug that was more recessed at the muzzle end of the plug, plus it had an x cut into the end of it ( to decrease fouling I guess ). I'd check the owners manual or with TC. and use the one that allows the most and hottest spark to better ignight your powder/pellets. at the bench I swab the bbl after each shot and never a problem with powder/plastic buildup or ignition. and I always dry the breach plug and barrel with a primer fired alone thru the gun for the first shot and after swabbing. I believe the term prick came from cannons or black powder guns, thin steel needle/pins used to clear flash holes. whole new meaning today.

A disc is just one style of BP that Knight came out with over 10 years ago.Never had one but the newer styles are less headaches. I clean my breach plug with pipe cleaners or bread bag ties. Clean the barrel out every other shot at least with a cleaning jag. I shoot a T/C Omega,it has a stainless fluted barrel and is a tack driver. Gotta keep'em clean.

No,I just clean the barrel at the range. When I get home I give it a thurogh cleaning. The barrel tends to become foules after a few shots, cleaning helps reload.

Everyone is diferent when it comes to ml's. Personally I pull the breech plug and thoruoghly clean after every shot at the range. The reason is simple.A clean Ml will shoot much higher than a dirty ml. If you are not cleaning it, then you will not get a true zero. I cannot hunt with a fouled dirty ML like some do, my OCD won't allow it. So I just take the time to make sure its sparkly clean with every shot that way I know how it is going to shoot when in the woods.
