i've got oct 29-31st to start me off, but i shoot mine all season too though. its my stand gun. till i set up my slug gun this spring but i will still carry it a lot during season.
It was the toughest opening weekend up here I've ever seen! Between the full moon and the unseasonably hot weather the deer didn't seem to move well. I saw 5 deer and 1 spike in 4 hunts, when normally I see more than that in 1 hunt. It's the first BP opening weekend I haven't killed a buck in 5 years! I'd just be happy seeing more than 2 deer in one sitting from now on :clap
Where in NF are you huntin, DH? I do NOT like snakes of any kind, especially cottonmouths. I wonder if I extend my snake boots with coffee cans up my legs if it'll give me more protection. There are a couple areas that I picked out on my lease near PCB that look like they could get a bit "snakey" if it got wet. Now, you're sayin that them legless critters are now in the dry spots too. Hmmm...Can I keep my balance on drywall stilts in the woods? That'd buy me another 2-3' off the ground.

West of perry in taylor county. I wear my snake boots nearly everytime I step in the woods these days. Last year during the middle of january it warmed up around 70 degrees during the middle of the day and I drove up on a rattlesnake some boys had just killed.
