I hunted in Alberta for moose in 2003 and 2004. Filled three tags. :thumbs up: Can't wait to go back.

would love to go to Saskatchewan and hunt deer.
I heard there are crazy laws on shipping the meat over the border...Any truth to that?

My buddys been hunting up there in Saskatchewan several times and the deer hes shot have all been huge. I know it cost him around $5000 for the trips hes gone on. But he never had problems having the meat, antlers and cape shipped back here. It probably has alot to do with the outfitter or the processor you use.

What we had to do was, have the meat processed and de-boned. It had to back de-boned due to madd cow disease. After processing our outfiter kept the meat at his house, when we got back to Tampa, I went to SAM'S and bought eight 150 qt coolers and had to ship them UPS to Alberta. Had to buy export and import permits and then had the meat air freighted to Tampa. It was alot of work, but when the moose steak was on the grill I was thinking, I wonder how many other people in the state of Florida are grilling moose steaks right now? :thumbs up:
