2 of the biggest bass I have caught came from the Peace River.....when the water was low and you could walk in ankle deep water to each hole. A 9 and 10 pounder. Within 5 minutes and about 50 yrds apart 🙂

Just north of Zolfo Springs

Back in the 70's and 80's my family used to camp, canoe and fish there couple times every year.
I used to catch a lot of bass there but I never caught any very large one.
I think the biggest was about 5 lb. Always had the best luck with 3 1/2" floating Rapala lure.

Wow. The biggest I've ever pulled out of it was maybe 4lbs. What were you using? Most of mine were caught on a Zoom Baby Brush Hog or a Berkley Power Worm.

Grape worms...6". Here's the rest of the story. Had taken the family to Istipogia (sp) and the chizzywinks were sooo bad you could not open your mouth. The boys were about 3 or 4 at the time and we decided to drive back up to Pioneer park. I was all pumped to fish and was not a happy camper. Got to the park and got set up then took a rod and walked up the creek. Water was really low and I just started walking and throwing to the deeper holes....rest is history. 2 of the biggest bass I ever caught. Believe it was '83
