new to miami area need advice

Hi I'm moving to the Miami area for the summer to work specifically 137th in the calusa area. I've been dying to hook up on a peacock bass but have no idea where to fish them and how to fish for them if someone could point me in the right direction that be awesome. I have no idea what canals or ponds to fish I don't gave a boat down there so I'm stuck to the shore. Thanks for any advice possible

Just about any of the lakes and canals around there will hold peas. I like to use mirrolures and rattle traps but a live shiner always kills. Try the canal that runs along SW 136 st behind the falls all the way east and the one on SW 8 st. Good luck!

They literally all have bass. Live shiners work best!
