I've caught a lot of bass in my time, but nothing ever wall-worthy. I think my biggest largemouth was about 7 pounds. But I have caught hundreds over 5 pounds, almost all on topwater. My brother has one of the prettiest 12 pounders on his wall, the second bass he ever caught. Used a hula-popper knockoff from Kmart back when he was 12. He used that same hula-popper to catch hundreds of bass at night in the pits and lakes areound Lakeland, Mulberry and Bartow. Catching bucket mouths on top water can sure get addictive!
