Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll just have to do my fishing around sunrise for the next few months.
Walsingham is where I've been fishing since about April. Have done really well there until it got so hot. Maybe I'll try Tarpon this weekend. Be nice to actually take a couple home anyway. (walsingham's catch and release only).
Thanks much for all the input guys!
when the bite picks up maybee ill shot you my retention ponds.. HUGE bass there.
That'd be sweet man, thanks! I pretty much fish alone because all of my friends that do fish are saltwater guys exclusively, so I can pretty much keep it to myself.
im in pinellas park..
Ive been hitting the ponds in my area pretty hard. I catch big fish all year. The trickis to fish on the days that are over cast during the hottest times of the day. During the summer the fish turn nocturnal and move to the deepest parts that have the most oxygen and the coolest temps. if it has been overcast all day , the fish will move up in to the shallows to feed early enough for you to get 2 0r 3 hours of fishing in. Although i love artificials, i love to catch fish more so i switch to live bait. Wild shinners if you can get them or store bought. If i can get small bluegills those are great. fish in the areas that drop off quickly and maybe have some vegatation. these will hold bait and the bass know it.I had a few 15 to 20 fish days just last week fishing between 2 0r 3 local ponds . good size fish too cause i use big baits. if you can stay out during the rain, you can have some hot action.
