I am also a mountian biker but in fl there really isn't mountians but anyway there is a trail near me that's only why to get in is on bike or walk but it's a 5-6 mile trip. I discovered it With some friends well they've been fishing an said they've caught 5-8 lb bass in the range of 2-3 minutes after dropping there shiners. I'm hitting the pits early 6:30-7 are those good time for bass?

Caught a couple nice 3-4 lbs had shiners but they died within the first 30 minutes being there changed to a watermelon crawdad an snagged a couple like that. FOr every 30 cast I have 2 bites an reeled in a fish tomorrow Im going again. ran out of the watermelon crawdads I guess there cheap made an are almost falling apart or Im just to green to know How to really hook them good. EIther or no more bait for bass will be bought ..
