im about to dust off the bass rods and start it up.

Man, I'm getting' the fever! Went back out to the little pond by the office this evening, and caught another 14 in bass and 4 hand size brim. I also fought a really nice bass for a minute or two, but got impatient and hossed him too much on the little outfit I'm using, and he threw the hook right at the bank. You could have put a softball in his mouth, probably around 2.5 pounds. I didn't realize he was that big until he rolled in the shallows and shook his head. Using that little beetlespin I should have played him out some more, but he fooled me. I've got to get some bass lures and be ready for him next time!
