This is going to be my first hunt in North Fl. I am from the Orlando area and hunted restricted access WMA like Buck Lake or Seminole Forest where there is a single gate. So going to a WMA with zones and public roads running through the middle is a bit different for me. Can someone explain how the zone tags work and if it’s a daily tag? Are you allowed to park on the side of the road and walk in?
Scouting so far has turned up a few doe’s, small size sink holes, and very little water. Is it normal for the area [Zone A] to be so dry?
Any advice would be helpful,
Steven
OK. First you should probably provide a little info about which WMA and which quota. The rules are different for almost every WMA.
I got an Archery permit for Twin Rivers WMA. I have the PDF for the area from FWC site and read through it. I've been scouting Twin Rivers. Compared to were I've been hunting, the cover is thin, lacks swamps, and is dry. I've yet to get my feet wet. This is going to be very different type of hunting. Being able to see deer 200 yards away in the woods is a new experience.
twin rivers is open. crocks lookin to hunt there this year.........
lets go.. im right by twin rivers.. pm me. you need a guest.
