Ok i have heard alot of things about Richlom. Too many things to discuss.. So i went to Richlom today with Rackman to see what all the hype is about. All of the stuff i have heard is about other hunters. So as you can figure out i could not verify any of the roomers i heard because its not hunting season.. lol.. But i would like to say one thing..

Richlom is a beautiful WMA. It is ranked at the top of the ones i have went to. I base my decisions on vechicle access, tree species and placement, Natural cover, and over all wilderness in general. Well i gotta say that place is awesome. I really liked it. It is so beautiful. I would definitly hunt there. But if the stories i heard were true i would be so mad that a place that beautiful can be over run by inconsiderate , irresponsible morons. But like i say its only hearsay for now. I would like to see it first hand before i give it a bad word from my actual mouth. Ima give it a try at least 1 time next year. If any of you have some time.. Just hop in your truck and drive around and you you will see for yourself!

I drove out there last year a few days after general gun had started just to look around, thinking it would be vacant being a weekday and all.
I have never seen such disreguard for hunting ethics. Guys with boat seats mounted on a truck box sitting on the side of the road looking thru a spotting scope. I may not have noticed if it was just one guy but they were every where. One guy had a recliner in the back of his truck just waiting for something to move in the woods. Well I tell ya I'm not gonna be that some thing. I kept right on going, hit the main road and got the hell out of there. People just had a crazy look in their eyes. 😯 I wasn't comfortable at all. 🙁
But thats just my too cents. 😎

When you get run off of the road on purpose, stuck, and left in the ditch to fend for yourself it is not hard to get the message

A friend of mine hunts there all the time and has no probems. Bu there are too many places I can go and not have to deal with those rednecks. I'm a lot older and meaner now so It would not turn out pretty

i know this was posted a few months ago, but i was curious why sitting on top of a dog box would be considered a disregard for hunting ethics?
i mean goodness there are guys who sit in huge treestands with spotting scopes too, waiting for something to move in the woods as you put it. if you dont like the idea of hunting deer with dogs or the people that do it, that is fine. But to say its a disregard for hunting ethics is not appropriate, especially when its a legal way of hunting deer just like the method you choose.
Not trying to start anything here just expressing my opinion also. if you dont want to hunt a dog hunt area, go next door to green swamp wma.
for the record the only time i have hunted richloam is with my coondogs. all my deer hunting is done in the Ocala forest pipeline unit.
nice site by the way and i enjoy visiting it. Mark.
