Your Jeeps, no matter how endowed they are, won't mean anything in Myakka SGA. You have to park in designated parking areas which are off maintained roads. You then walk or bike in to where you want to hunt. Make sure to read the most recent brochure online at myfwc.com before going to make sure you know what weapons are allowed, any closed areas or dates, sign-in procedures, etc.
Good good good!
This is exactly the kinda stuff I need :clap
Darn, you dont drive into the place? I thought it just said no ATVs
Oh wow, I see now, those are only "hiking trails"
This shall be interesting :cowboy
And I didn't mean for my other post to come off as cocky or anything, I was at work and I could only say something minimal and informal
I don't know about anyone else but the 1st few times I headed into the wood I took entirely too much crap with me. I was less than 30 minutes from camp, by foot, but I packed like I was walking miles into the woods to hunt. I just did not need all of the stuff I was putting in my pack. It seems each time I go I am taking less and less with me.
First off there are no hogs there. :innocent
You have some time to plan yet. Things don't open up there until Nov..
ARCHERY HOG MANAGEMENT HUNT:
November 12-18.
SMALL GAME:
November 19 through December 18 and December 24 through January
15.
If you want we can meet up and hit it. And that goes for you to Gary.
I thought hog was open year round and that was a time just for archers to get in on it by themselves.
