I wanted to try hunting Myakka SGA this year... my first WMA hunt.
I was going to try for a pig with shotgun slug.
Any advice for a novice?
i will be heading down tomorrow hunting buddy in tow, his wife got sick so no gators game. we will be there probably about 1230 and hunt till dark or so.
scout the area you want to hunt in.. (try google earth to research where you plan on going in from and what you'd like to hunt)
there is sign of pigs everywhere i've ever gone in the sga, but i've only walked around in a hunting season one day last year.
so i'm as newbie there as you would be.
I went out and put up another camera in there today and plan on sitting somewhere sat/sun mornings and probably walking around during the day to scout/stalk anything i can find.
come small game season maybe i'll have better spots also???

whats there... The main one on south river rd., the south one on foresman blvd., the east one on jennings blvd.(by me) and the north one i forget the rd. name.
